To support the mission of Mosaic by promoting pathways, a culture and environment that encourage people in all age groups to be part of Mosaic and to step deeper into their life in Christ.

May Goals

Touchpoints + Information

  • King’s Street [Mosaic] Baristas — now

    • Goal: if receive white Free Drink card; chat about their experience at Mosaic and point out any staff members or Mosaic people who happen to be in the Cafe

  • Swag Bag Letters — target May 14 (from Pastor Adam)

  • Printed Monthly Newsletters – target May 14 (swag bags, welcome desk, coffee bar)

    • Goal: make available to people who don’t get emails

  • Connections Corner — target May 21

    • Pitch: if you’re new here, Pastor Adam would love to meet you! He’ll be at the Connections Corner in the lobby immediately following the service

    • Needs:

      • Corner Host(s) with Connection Cards, Basic information pages, and able to chat/manage traffic flow.

      • Welcome teams encourage use — pre-service: inject into conversations

    • Future goals: Hosts who invite people / escort people to Connections Corner

Connection Cards

  • Complete adult guest information — target ongoing (enhanced focus from teams)

    • Needs:

      • Promote supplying email and physical address and checking appropriate 1^st^ time guest vs Mosaic is my home church boxes

      • Request teams take notes to support follow up mailing info! Helpful information: number and names of adults at that address (ideally get card from each adult), did they check in kids, was a youth with them, if they’ve been to Mosaic before but first time to the building or rough estimate of a recent “first time” etc.

      • Kids ministry notes: did both parents/adults attend in person, were there youth age kids with them too, if they’ve been to Mosaic before but first time to the building or rough estimate of a recent “first time” etc.

    • Ongoing and Future Goals:

      • as much information available/entered by 12:30pm Sundays as possible or Monday Connect Admin Team

      • process for youth or kids who fill in connection cards (please get adult info too when available!)

      • Location mark for where card was picked up/filled out (Connection Corner, left on Seat, Kids Check in, Welcome Desk)

      • Planning Center milestones to move from Guest to Attender to Partner

  • Back of Chair Connection and Prayer Request Cards — target May 14

    • Needs: team to walk through all rows in worship space after each service — general cleaning/chair straightening, pick up cards from seats, refill any missing cards/pens

  • Back of Chair Get Involved Cards — target late summer 2023

    • Goals:

      • Connect Admin follow up within 36 hours — template

      • Lead follow up within 6 days via preferred contact method to schedule interview, introductory experience, or background check as appropriate

      • Target introductory experience within 14 days of interview, completed background check, or card turned in

    • Under Development (target May/early June)

      • Pastor Adam designation of positions that only Christians may serve in

      • Pastor Adam approved vetting process for Christians

      • “Standard” volunteer mission-centered onboarding material (late May)

    • Future team-based Development (late June/July)

      • Creation of “entry-level” positions for all areas

      • Position-specific (or at least ministry area-specific) onboarding material

Connections Focused Priority

  • Pastor Adam’s Connections video

  • Connections Conference— target as soon as can be reasonably scheduled (summer)

    • Who:

      • All Connections Focused Service Teams, Linked Teams, and Supporting Teams

      • All Mosaic team leads (all teams)

      • Anyone interested in serving on a Connections team

      • Any adult or youth interested in coming

    • What:

      • Interactive group training and practice sessions on Connections purpose, goals, and strategy

      • Breakout sessions for brainstorming or identifying opportunities and needs

      • Workshop sessions for developing on-boarding materials and/or team-based short- and long-term goals

      • Homework Challenge

    • When: 2 hours in June or July — needs: suggested date(s)/time(s)

      • Friday June 9 at 5:30pm

      • Saturday July 1

Lead Next Steps

  • Team Communication

    • Use the word “because”

    • ASAP: Connect Card emphasis and improved note taking to support follow-up process

      • Expect to see more connect cards in more places

    • Watch for and engage white Free Drink card holders at King’s Street

    • Watch for printed newsletter launch

    • Expect “enhanced” Swag Bags (newsletter, letter, save the date cards)

    • Anticipate launch of Connection Corner

    • Plan to attend the Connection Conference

  • May Positions/Responsibilities to Help Fill

    • Connection Corner Hosts (minimum 1 after both services, expect \<30 minutes)

    • After service row straighteners, card collectors, seat back refill-ers

  • Planning and Brainstorming

    • Commit to attend the Connection Conference

    • Identify entry-level volunteer positions and how to meet interview, introductory experience, or background check timeline targets

    • Identify opportunities you can work toward with your team to meet the Connection mission, purpose, and goals

    • Take the next step in adopting/optimizing Planning Center with/for your teams

    • Complete the challenges between now and October 1 (turn in directly to Christy for the lead prize)

LATE CHALLENGE

Challenge: Arrive to a Mosaic Worship Experience 5 minutes after the service has started and park, enter, and sit in a different place than you normally do. (No cheating! Don’t ask a friend to save a seat for you.) Answer the questions below and turn in to the Welcome Center or email answers to connect@mosaicwadsworth.com for a prize!

VISITOR CHALLENGE

Challenge: Attend a worship service as an unannounced first-time` visitor at a church that you’ve never been to before. Answer the questions below and turn in to the Welcome Center or email answers to connect@mosaicwadsworth.com for a prize!
